Money...money...money...
An offer came in today. A good job offer. One hour from NYC in a nice gay-friendly little suburb. School would be close-by for me. Maybe an hour at it's worst.
D just scratched his head. He's still scratching. Thinking. Wondering. Staring at the back of my head as I type this. Wondering.
What's the problem? Money.
The offer was good. Damn good. But, for some reason now good is not enough. When did six-figures get to be not good enough? What's wrong with that picture?
Six figures at 34% taxes, that's what is wrong.
Six figures means bigger house. Nicer car. Nicer clothes. More rooms. More land. More taxes. More bills. More expenses. More...more...more...more...

i know you'll do what's best ... sometimes change is hard, and sometimes the best and right thing to do is the hardest.
also congratulations on 40 days smoke free! that's awesome ... and it's "Not One Puff Ever" (N.O.P.E.) and i'm sure a lot of sites use it but the one i went to was www.quitnet.com
i'm proud of you for 40 days .. it's the best thing you're doing for your daughter so you can be sure you'll live a long and happy life ... seeing her grow up and get married ... AND chances are she won't smoke because she saw her Daddy doing it.

It's a graet offer wtih some draw backs (as with everything) so we're weighing the options - thanks for the congrats Raven - 40 days feels like 40 years!
